Papoose Finally Files For Divorce After Public Drama With Estranged Wife

Rapper Papoose has initiated divorce proceedings against his wife after a public few months of back and-forth, but not before dropping explosive allegations. An enraged Brooklyn native turned to Instagram to announce the proceedings while accusing his soon-to-be ex-wife of lying, clout chasing, and maybe even attempting reconciliation days before he made the formal filing.

The post has since generated an avalanche of reaction, which read; “This was so easy to file for divorce. Why hasn’t she done it? The only reason I haven’t filed previously is for the sake of my daughter. She has to go to school. When two individuals behave like civilized adults, you can get a divorce peacefully/privately. And that was my intention. But when a person wants to be bitter, & clout chase, it turns into a circus. Which can lead to an embarrassment for my child.”

And he kept throwing insults. Papoose alleged that his estranged wife called him just one day before he would file, trying to carry on with the reconciliation, an effort he immediately rejected. “You just lied for a hour straight. But actions speak louder than lies. You just called me YESTERDAY trying to get back with me. And I said NO!”

In this regard, some did note that the actual timing of filing was suspiciously quite timely. Many pointed out that only after his estranged wife decided to go live on social media airing their marital squabbles did Papoose go ahead and get the papers submitted. “lol she went live so his girl can force him to go file for divorce #checkmate,” said one. Another said, “But why you didn’t make any moves until after she went live? LOL pap you ain’t fooling nobody.”

The explanation Papoose gave as to why the divorce was delayed was that it was due to their daughter, and this has steered a lot of comments in his direction. “Not filing for divorce for the sake of your daughter is bull,” said one. Another responded: “Pap u ain’t file because of your daughter? I’m so confused. You have a whole gf.”

This messy situation went through another turn when the fans started pointing out how both Papoose and his estranged wife had been publicly linked to new partners while still legally married. “You’re in a public relationship with another woman but you didn’t want to file for a divorce because of your child,” was one sardonic comment.

In the midst of the hue and cry, there were those that remained loyal. One stated, “Respect @papoose. Keep living being great and happy G.” Another added, “Didn’t really want to comment on this bcuz it’s not my business, but Pap is that guy! And a good example of a parent, you have my support Pap. God bless.”

Without question, this drama has entirely hit spectacle mode, with both sides airing out the grievances in the public eye. One user perfectly described it: “They airing all they business out.”

Going forward with the divorce proceedings, it is clear that this split is anything but amicable. Whether or not Papoose’s claims are true and simply a messy page in a much larger book, that remains to be seen. For now, though, the court of public opinion is in session-a jury has yet to come to a unanimous verdict.
