Meet Blé de Fonty, the Singaporean Skincare Brand Putting Lipids First

With individually sealed Beauty Pearls, formulas designed for specific skin zones, and more than four decades of professional spa skincare expertise, Blé de Fonty (pronounced “Blay de Fon-tee”) is bringing its Singaporean approach to skincare to the United States.

The American beauty market is hardly short on serums. There are brightening serums, barrier-supporting formulas, overnight treatments and multitaskers promising to address nearly every concern at once.

Blé de Fonty enters the category from a different angle: What if the way a serum is formulated, packaged and used matters as much as the ingredients inside it?

Rather than building its serums primarily around water, the brand uses a lipid-based foundation of squalane and botanical oils. Each application is then sealed inside an individual Beauty Pearl.

Twist one open, warm the serum between the palms and press it into the skin. The single-use format provides a measured amount while limiting the repeated exposure to air that comes with opening and closing a conventional bottle. Compact and leak-resistant, the pearls are also designed for travel.

The ritual feels luxurious. The reasoning behind it is practical.

For Blé de Fonty, those two ideas—pleasure and precision—are meant to coexist.

Why Blé de Fonty Starts With Lipids
Many conventional serums are water-based. Blé de Fonty takes a different approach, building its formulas around botanical lipids chosen to work with the skin’s naturally lipid-rich barrier.

At the center of the brand’s formulation philosophy is its Golden Shield™ Lipid Technology, a proprietary blend featuring squalane, jojoba oil, French wheat germ oil and macadamia oil.

The objective is not simply to make an oil serum. Blé de Fonty selects its lipid ingredients for their skin feel, spreadability and compatibility with the other active ingredients in each formula.

From there, the formulas diverge according to the area being treated. Peptides, ceramides, antioxidant-rich oils and botanical extracts are incorporated into products developed for the face, lips, jawline, neck and body.

It is a deliberately specific approach to skincare: rather than assuming every area should be treated the same way, Blé de Fonty develops formulas around differences in texture, sensitivity and care needs.

The philosophy can be summed up simply:

Fewer generalizations. More precision.

More Than Four Decades Behind the Brand
Blé de Fonty’s story begins long before the Beauty Pearls reached retail shelves.

In 1979, a family-owned manufacturing business in Singapore began producing high-performance skincare serums for professional spas across Asia. For decades, much of that formulation expertise remained behind treatment-room doors.

Cofounder Kris Yap represents the second generation of that family business. She grew up around the manufacturing operation before eventually joining a team of cofounders, several connected through INSEAD, to translate that professional skincare heritage into a consumer brand.

The ambition was straightforward: bring some of the formulation discipline and sensorial experience associated with professional spa treatments into a product that could become part of everyday life.

Today, Blé de Fonty says it has reached more than 500,000 women across Asia and France, with a presence that extends from Singapore and Shanghai to Paris.

In 2026, the company began bringing the brand to the United States through a digital-first launch.

One Pearl, Different Skin Needs
Skin does not behave identically everywhere. The lips, neck, jawline and face all age differently—and Blé de Fonty’s product range is organized around those distinctions.

Its Night Beauty Pearls combine botanical oils, peptides and pomegranate extract in a richer formula intended for overnight renewal.

The Lip Beauty Pearls pair ceramides and Tripeptide-1 with Myrothamnus and botanical extracts in a formula developed for dry, lined lips.

The Jawline Beauty Pearls are designed to be used with massage and combine the lipid serum base with coffee-derived ingredients, bakuchiol and peptides to support a more defined, contoured look.

And the Lower Body Beauty Pearls extend the same targeted philosophy to the buttock area, with a formula focused on the appearance of smoother, firmer-looking skin.

The point is not to create more products simply for the sake of a longer routine. It is to recognize that different areas can benefit from different approaches.

From Singapore to the United States
Blé de Fonty is entering one of the world’s most competitive beauty markets without positioning itself around a 10-step routine or an ever-expanding collection of products.

Instead, its distinction lies in the system behind them: lipid-based formulations, area-specific care and individually sealed delivery.

That emphasis also reflects the company’s roots.

According to Blé de Fonty, its products are manufactured under GMP-certified standards in Singapore, and the company has research relationships with institutions including the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine and the Skin Research Institute of Singapore.

The brand also says it formulates according to stringent international ingredient standards, including European Union requirements, while excluding ingredients including parabens, formaldehyde-releasing preservatives, phenoxyethanol, triclosan, mineral oil, petrolatum, phthalates, sulfates and coal-tar dyes.

For Blé de Fonty, its Singaporean heritage is expressed less through imagery than through an emphasis on formulation discipline, consistency and attention to detail.

After more than four decades behind professional skincare formulations, the company is now testing whether that philosophy will resonate with a new audience.

A New Chapter in the U.S.
Blé de Fonty’s Beauty Pearls are now available to U.S. customers at bledefonty.us.

To accompany its American debut, the company is also introducing a Founding Member Program, selecting 50 women to experience the Beauty Pearls and provide feedback as Blé de Fonty establishes its presence in the United States.

For a brand built around precision, the approach to entering a new market is fittingly measured: start with the product, listen closely to the people using it and build from there.
