Where Fashion Week’s Most Exclusive Nights Unfolded: Aquarelle

6

This New York Fashion Week, Aquarelle NYC cemented its reputation as the city’s most exciting new destination for food and nightlife. The East Village ocean-to-table hotspot not only set the stage for The Untitled Magazine’s star-studded soirée, but just two nights later, it welcomed guests for designer Frederick Anderson, exclusive post-show dinner and party, proving its versatility as both a glamorous lounge and an elegant dining venue.

Aquarelle’s layered interiors, the velvet-lined Cove, the breezy Deck, and the underground Grotto, offered the perfect canvas for Untitled’s high-voltage bash. Hosted by editor-in-chief Indira Cesarine and Aquarelle’s founder and creative director Baris Koroglu, the night fused art, music, and fashion into a multi-level playground with bespoke cocktails courtesy of Juliette Liqueur and Rosa Luna Mezcal.

The evening opened with a Private VIP Tasting, pairing chef-driven bites with DJ Eva Vos’s soulful mix of house, disco, funk, and R&B. As guests explored the Cove and Deck, the atmosphere shifted effortlessly from refined tasting to electric party. Nightlife mainstays The Muses took over the lounge with their dark disco grooves, while David Katz powered the Grotto with high-energy beats. Romanian pop futurist Sorana also lit up the space with a cyberpunk-anime aesthetic and fearless performance, turning Aquarelle’s sea-glass glow into a stage for digital-era pop.

Fresh off the success of Untitled’s bash, Aquarelle pivoted seamlessly from high-energy club vibes to polished intimacy for Frederick Anderson’s Fashion Week celebration. Guests gathered for an elegant sit-down dinner to toast the debut of Empirical Spirits x Frederick Couture, a new couture-inspired liquor. After dinner, the evening shifted into a lively after-party, underscoring how Aquarelle’s different rooms, from its oyster-rich raw bar to the candlelit Grotto, can frame any mood, from refined to raucous.

“We created Aquarelle to be a living canvas where food, music, and art come alive,” said Baris Koroglu. “Both of these events captured that vision perfectly it showed how this space can hold a tasting, a concert, and a late-night dance floor all in one night.”

By hosting two standout events during one of New York’s biggest moments, Aquarelle proved it’s not just another after-party stop it’s a new cornerstone of the Fashion Week experience. Its fresh seafood, inventive cocktails, and art-driven design offer an immersive alternative to the city’s typical nightlife venues, making it the place where designers, editors, and performers gather when the runway lights dim.

With its seamless blend of hospitality and spectacle, Aquarelle has become the rare venue that can handle Fashion Week’s full spectrum: from champagne toasts and oysters to midnight beats and boundary-pushing performances, all in the same week, and all under one roof.
