Idris Elba And Solomun Confirm ‘All Night Long’ Collaboration Is Coming

Solomun posted a photo with Idris Elba on Sunday and left a short caption pointing at something ahead: “Next: All Night Long.”

The image appeared on Instagram on June 22, 2026. The caption read “Sunday with @idriselba / Next: All Night Long.” The post gave no format, release date, label, or venue. Still, the pairing got attention fast. The photo drew over 16,000 likes within two days – a strong reaction to a two-line announcement with nothing else attached.

Solomun is a Bosnian-German DJ and producer with one of the more devoted followings in electronic music. Born Mladen Solomun in Bosnia and raised in Hamburg, he built his name in Ibiza and across Europe’s festival circuit. He became a defining figure in deep and melodic house music. His +1 series at Pacha Ibiza ran as a weekly event for years. Fans planned entire trips specifically to catch it. He also runs Diynamic Music. He founded the Hamburg-based label about fifteen years ago. It’s put out work from artists across the electronic world and had a wide influence on the melodic house sound. His live sets typically run four to five hours. His crowd tends to stay for all of it.

The title “All Night Long” fits how Solomun operates. He doesn’t make music for quick consumption. The name already sets the tone for any kind of live project.

Idris Elba is most recognizable as an actor. His role as Stringer Bell in “The Wire” made him a household name. He built on that with films like “Beasts of No Nation” and the long-running BBC series “Luther.” He’s had a solid run of work across film and television. But music has been part of his career for years. He’s been DJing publicly since at least the early 2010s. He played Coachella in 2019 and has released original music through various projects. In interviews, he’s talked about treating his DJ career as its own thing rather than a celebrity hobby. He’s performed at festivals in the UK, across Europe, and internationally.

The two haven’t done anything together publicly before. “All Night Long” is new territory for both of them. The collaboration makes a certain kind of sense – Solomun brings a focused electronic music audience, and Elba brings a different level of mainstream visibility. A project with both names could pull in listeners from very different corners of the music world.

The announcement comes during summer festival season. That’s when Solomun’s name tends to circulate most actively. He’s a regular presence in Ibiza during the summer months. An event or residency there would fit the timing. Nothing has been confirmed yet.

What exactly the project is will shape how much coverage it gets. A single would be one kind of story. A live event or residency would be another. Both options remain open.

Solomun tends to announce things with minimal ceremony. This post fit that pattern. The caption’s phrasing – “Next” – suggests “All Night Long” is close to being ready. More should follow in the coming weeks.
