Laverne Cox’s spectacular entry drew all eyes to her when she was hosting the Women Event at The Center in New York. The actress not only collaborated with the company but also expressed the message of women’s and transgender rights to the audience through her remarkable presence. The focus of the night was on fundraising for the LGBTQ+ services the center provides, and the huge arrival of Cox along with her emotional message led the audience to the main story.

Cox, Laverne, and her friends are known for the most fantastic and super creative arrivals. The renowned actress and social activist was the center of attention at the women’s event arranged by The Center in 2025, and she did not merely take the stage; rather she communicated a strong message. The captivating personage is heard in the recorded videos during the event as if she has won the real world. Their voice is the loudest among those affirming a night of freedom and struggle upfront.

Cox referred to it as a “miraculous” night and pointed out that really, “The Center’s backing ought to be the number one work and likewise the money to their essential services.” The hosting was not merely another job for the star; it was the “honor and privilege to preside over such a vibrant night” for her. The Center, which is the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center in New York City, is a key player by granting the LGBTQ+ community access and connection to vital resources.

Cox’s hashtags seemed to articulate the event’s significance: #WomensRightsAreHumanRights and #TransRightsAreHumanRights. These are not merely slogans for the Orange Is the New Black star—they are the principles for which she has been a fighter throughout her career. By participating in such events she makes herself visible but also brings visibility to the tough-to-reach and vulnerable women, particularly those with the darkest skin.

The general opinion was that there was no better time to showcase her skills and to the audience that adored her. Someone put it like this: “Iconic entrance! So happy to meet you” and this way the thrill that many experienced while watching Cox in her element was precisely articulated. Another just said, “Well then, make an entrance!” and added festive emojis that somewhat mirrored the energetic and brightly colored atmosphere of the night.

On the other hand, some comments were not flattering, and a few were even critical though they still served the purpose of disclosing a certain truth. One person professed their admiration for the actress but at the same time remarked that the actress was slightly over-the-top. This comment stirred up a little back and forth where, for instance, Cox directly asked the commenter, “have we met? Do you follow me?” The user replied that they did follow her, and then another person chimed in with “the queen has spoken. Let her be extra, I love you.” This little episode shows Cox’s willingness to take even minuscule criticism in a good way and she will definitely listen but of course, her fans will be right there to support her.

The occasion gave Cox a rare opportunity to prove that she is not only a star but also an advocate who supports the right causes and makes good use of her influence. The Center is providing the LGBTQ+ community with everything from health services to community programs, thus it is heavily relying on fundraising from events such as this one. The participation of Cox brings in more attention and more resources to these efforts.

Cox’s commitment to the LGBTQ+ community and their rights struggle is still very strong. She is the most prominent and outspoken advocate for transgender rights by her involvement in such events, social media communications, etc. Her impact reaches far beyond Hollywood into the communities that highly benefit from her presence, both as a celebrity and as one who genuinely supports the cause.

Her hosting was perceived as a manifestation of how she had been able to successfully marry entertainment and activism. People hold her in esteem not only for her dramatic talents but also for her significant contribution to the discussions of major importance. She is at the forefront of the historical moment and recognizes and keeps utilizing all the platforms available to her to advocate for equality.

A few comments took unexpected political twists, with one user making an irrelevant accusation about voting that had no relation to what was happening. These comments, albeit off-topic, indicate how public figures like Cox often find themselves at the center of heated political debates that may have nothing to do with the actual event’s purpose. Nevertheless, the majority of the comments continued to praise her efforts and the important cause she was supporting.

Cox’s ability to create moments that people will remember has different uses. She shines the spotlight on the important causes, refreshes her followers, and reassures her position as a transgender woman who is not afraid to be seen in a society still very much valuing representation. Her recent role in The Drowsy Chaperone showcases her versatility. When she made her entrance, it was a moment that made history on the Carnegie Hall stage. Her fashion choices also speak volumes, as seen when she stunned in an iconic vintage Mugler dress once worn by Madonna. Beyond the glitz, she often shares powerful messages about true belonging, inspiring many.
