Meghan Markle reportedly made one thing VERY clear to her estranged father in the last letter she ever sent him: he would NEVER meet her children.
According to a Saturday report from The Sun, the Duchess of Sussex, 45, sent her estranged father Thomas Markle Sr., 82, a letter in December of last year while he was hospitalized in the Philippines following a leg amputation caused by a blood clot. But this message wasn’t an attempt at reconciliation. Far from it, in fact.

The outlet reports that Meghan confronted her father over allegations he had sexually abused children, telling him she knew about the accusations and that authorities were aware of his alleged behavior. She reportedly informed him that he would never meet the two children she shares with Prince Harry — 7-year-old Prince Archie and 5-year-old Princess Lilibet — and that he would never hear from her again.
And Meghan apparently wanted proof that her message had been received. According to The Sun, she arranged for hospital management to personally deliver the letter to Thomas’ bedside, obtain his signature acknowledging receipt, and record him accepting it.
Whoa…
The revelation comes amid disturbing allegations that Thomas possessed child sexual abuse material at his former home in Cebu, Philippines.
As we previously reported, Meghan’s half-brother Thomas Markle Jr. allegedly discovered four large boxes containing hundreds, potentially thousands, of illicit images, along with videos involving underage girls. He reported his discovery to authorities in July, including the FBI and child protection officials.
Thomas Jr. told The Sun earlier this week:
“What I saw made me sick to the stomach — all this stuff was just dumped on me, and I didn’t know what to do. I knew right away it was highly illegal and would land me in jail for a long time if I didn’t get rid of it. I felt betrayed, angry and disgusted — and realized I had to report him.”
Thomas Sr. has vehemently denied the allegations, calling them lies in a statement to the Daily Mail on Friday.
Meanwhile, Meghan revealed in a statement to People on Saturday that she had been made aware of troubling accusations against her father years earlier, after a letter containing allegations was sent to London’s Metropolitan Police.
She explained:
“That letter was subsequently shared with me. It made troubling and disturbing allegations against my father, and I was given assurances that these were being investigated.”
The Metropolitan Police have since confirmed receiving the letter in January 2019 and passing it to Meghan’s office, but acknowledged that the allegations were never shared with other law enforcement agencies. The department is now reviewing its handling of the matter and considering whether to refer itself to Britain’s police watchdog.

Meghan’s representative attributed the discrepancy between her recollection of the 2018 timeline and police records from 2019 to the passage of time.
And as questions continue to swirl about what authorities knew and when, Meghan has offered an explanation for her years-long estrangement from her father:
“I hope it can now be understood that, despite certain media publications’ distortion over the years, any distance from my father and my choice to not allow him to have contact with our children, was for one reason: to protect them.”
The FBI has also confirmed it is aware of the allegations and will assist Philippine authorities as appropriate while examining any potential violations of U.S. law.
The allegations against Thomas remain unproven, of course. But Meghan’s reported final letter makes clear just how firmly she had already decided to close the door on their relationship.
