Real Housewives Of Atlanta Cast Shows Love To Grenada With Heartfelt Donations

The Real Housewives of Atlanta have made traits very big in all their personalities, with hearts, too. The Daily Dish, through Bravo, showed a clip of the cast helping abroad in Grenada, which was battered by Hurricane Beryl earlier in the year. One such snippet showed the tender moments when these reality stars went on their own to hand over supplies and donations to a few local communities.

Being smaller islands in the chain, these islands suffered most from the wrath of this storm, thereby triggering immediate dispatch of relief efforts by the RHOA cast. In one shot, the cast was unloading boxes of supplies very enthusiastically with Kelli, Angela, and Shamea shouting in unison, “Donation, donation!” Cynthia Bailey’s appearance caused mixed feelings amongst viewers in the comment section.

In general, most of the feedback has been positive – and many have applauded this humanitarian act done by the cast. A Grenadian commented, “As a Grenadian this definitely warmed my heart,” and another said, “This is what I love to see.” There was an outpouring of comments complimenting Angela – “Angela is so pretty” and “Low Key Angela is stunning” are just two of many comments praising the new housewife.

But let’s face it, some comments weren’t all sunshine and rainbows. Thanks, The Real Housewives of Atlanta cast, for the show, as one user said ot the style of appreciation for the displayed charity. Another one posed questions regarding some cast members’ contributions, and replies immediately started pouring in! The most heated one emerged when a comment about Porsha Williams sparked an equally fiery defense: “You’re poor and behind a screen typing about someone you don’t know.”

That charity trip touched a nerve even with the world audience. From Kenya came a call to arms for similar charity: “The village that raised your husband in Kenya needs some help.” Kelli responded to the Grenadian commentary, “Grateful to give to the beautiful country of Grenada,” with heart emojis and the hashtag #grenadaisgreater.

What makes this moment even more heartwarming is the realization that these women, who are usually portrayed as snipers in full-blown catfights on the screen, managed to pool their considerable resources to support a worthy cause. The video shows them seriously at work-lugging supplies down hills, carefully selecting items for donation, and obviously emotionally invested in making a difference: “I love to see this side of the ladies,” said one commenter.

For the most part, reality: TV is whatever relates to throwing drama and cinema into the greater mainstream idiom; here, a humanitarian effort offers an intriguing alternative storyline. The RHOA ladies’ resurrection attempt in Grenada proves that, beneath the glam and occasional cattiness, they can really get together and try to help a community in need. Regardless of whether helping is purely altruistic or more for the cameras, the fact is that help went to people who desperately needed it post a natural calamity. And that’s something to cheer about, no matter how much you curse reality television.
