The reality star took to her platform to post a mirror selfie and in the caption, she opened up about her post-birth struggles. As you know, Stassi Schroeder is a new mom and she decided to get real about the process of bouching back to her pre-pregnancy weight.
With that being said, Stassi admitted that thoughts about her body issues have been consuming ‘97% of the day!’
Being a new mom isn’t easy at all and that is the case in more ways than one!
For Stassi, that also includes having a hard time accepting her new body.
In a very honest post on her Instagram account, Stassi told her followers all about it!
As it turns out, the new mom of daughter Hartford, who she welcomed on January 7, has been feeling really insecure about not being able to fit into her normal clothes anymore.
In the mirror selfie she posted, Stassi can be seen wearing a loose black button-down sweater, black pants and a pair of Chanel heels.
In the long caption, she wrote, in part: ‘1st postpartum OOTD – I don’t know who needs to hear this but it has been 7 weeks since I gave birth and my maternity jeans are still the only that fit me. I am also wearing spanx to hold in what looks like a 4-month pregnant belly. I thought it would be much easier to bounce back, and every day I wake up like a kid on Christmas hoping that when I look in the mirror, I am going to see my pre-pregnant body again and that obviously never happens.’
Making things even harder for herself, Stassi went on to criticize herself for feeling that way!
‘But also how f***ed up is it that I am so obsessed with bouncing back when my body’s just made, housed and delivered a new baby? My body issues consume my thoughts 97% of the day, and it’s a major hole I struggle to dig myself out of.’
