Every New Movie and Show Coming to Paramount+ in October 2025

Autumn is in full swing by October, and major streaming platforms are adding new content for the season, with Halloween-themed movies and series proving particularly popular. Paramount+ has some spooky new content on the way, as well as some more lighthearted fare.

On the film side of things, they have a new Josh Hartnett action comedy, as well as an original horror flick. Metal fans should also check out the documentary covering the final years of Ozzy Osbourne’s life. Over on the small screen, Jeremy Renner’s Mayor of Kingstown is back on the case for Season 4. We’ve got a miniseries covering the events of October 7, 2023, as well as a true-crime story about a less-than-perfect boyfriend. Plus, there are dozens more existing titles making their way to Paramount+. So let’s take a look at the movies and series coming to Paramount+ in October.

Movies

‘Fight or Flight’

Streaming October 1

Fight or Flight hails from James Madigan in his directorial debut. It follows Hartnett’s character Lucas Reyes, a mercenary who takes a job of tracking down a wanted criminal aboard a plane. But he must keep that criminal safe when it’s discovered there are people on the plane who want both of them dead. Fight or Flight is a rare action comedy that works, boasting a strong 77% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

In addition to Hartnett, Fight or Flight also stars Katee Sackhoff, Marko Zaror, Julian Kostov, and Charithra Chandran. Despite its critical praise, it was less of a draw at the box office, netting just $4.3 million. It has a chance to reach a wider action-comedy audience when it lands on Paramount+ on October 1.

‘Ozzy: No Escape From Now’

Streaming October 7

Ozzy Osbourne passed away at 76 in August 2025. Ozzy: No Escape From Now takes audiences behind the scenes of the last years of the Prince of Darkness’ life, controversies, injuries, and all. It features interviews with Osbourne and his family and friends as they break down his creative process leading up to Black Sabbath’s final show on July 5, 2025. Osbourne passed away just 17 days after that final performance. Metal fans can take a peek behind the curtain of this legend one last time when Ozzy: No Escape From Now hits Paramount+ on October 7.

‘Vicious’

Streaming October 10

Vicious is this year’s original scary movie. It features Dakota Fanning’s Polly as she receives a mysterious package from a visitor. She’s instructed to place one item that she hates and one item that she loves inside the package. But when she opens the box, she unleashes a living nightmare with dire consequences.

In addition to Fanning in the leading role, Vicious also features Kathryn Hunter, Mary McCormack, Devyn Nekoda, and Rachel Blanchard. Vicious first premiered at Fantastic Fest on September 19, 2025, and was also set for a theatrical release at one point. However, the theater plans were dropped, and the movie will stream on Paramount+ and be available on VOD on October 10, just in time for the Halloween season.

‘Red Alert’ (Miniseries)

Streaming October 7

This Israeli-produced miniseries covers the events surrounding the Hamas attacks of October 7, 2023. Several intersecting stories of civilians caught in the crossfire unfold. There’s Bat Sheva, a mother who flees with her two children after her third is kidnapped. Ohad is a father who sacrifices himself to protect his family, while Ayoub has to hide with his baby behind enemy lines after losing his wife. Officers Nofar, Liat, and Kobu rescue other injured civilians, and mother Tali searches for her son, Itamar.

The announcement of the series came after almost 4,000 Hollywood figures signed a petition refusing to work with any Israeli-linked productions over the country’s actions in Gaza. Paramount condemned the petition, with CEO David Ellison reaffirming the company’s commitment to sharing true stories of heroism. Red Alert’s four episodes are available to stream on October 7, the second anniversary of the attacks.

‘Mayor of Kingstown’ (Season 4)

Streaming October 26

Taylor Sheridan’s crime thriller will be back for its fourth outing at the end of the month. Led by Jeremy Renner, Mayor of Kingstown centers on the McLusky family as they attempt to bring order to the Michigan company town they “manage.” Renner’s Mike McLusky is the “mayor” of the city, responsible for brokering peace between cops, gangs, and criminals. But Mike isn’t always happy, and has spent plenty of time dreaming about escaping Kingstown.

In addition to Renner, the show also features Dianne Wiest, Hugh Dillon, Taylor Handley, Emma Laird, Derek Webster, Kyle Chandler, and more. The critical reception started slowly, with Season 1 only holding a 33% Rotten Tomatoes score. The accolades increased as the show progressed, with Season 3 reaching a 78% rating. The fourth season premieres with one episode on October 26, with subsequent episodes following every Sunday until the December 28 season finale.
