Every TV Show Coming to Paramount+ in January 2025

With a new year on the horizon, television fans have plenty of alternatives for spending their first month binge-watching some of the best shows available through streaming platforms. Amid all the competition, Paramount+ is also a major player, with over 70 million subscribers actively using it. Over the years, the streaming platform has established itself as a go-to destination, with offerings from various third-party networks such as CBS, Paramount Media Networks, and Network10, which offer a wide variety of options, including sports.

Similarly, Paramount+ has everything figured out for this January, with an abundance of highly anticipated TV shows returning for sequels and vintage series available to its audience. So, if you’ve been wondering how the well-known streaming service intends to entertain its viewers in January 2025, let’s have a look at what Paramount+ has to offer in the following month.

‘Raid the Cage’ (Season 2)

Streaming January 8

Raid the Cage, hosted by Damon Wayans Jr. and Jeannie Mai, is a game show based on an Israeli television series of the same name. Following its premiere on CBS on October 13, 2023, the series has been a huge success, with over 2 million people viewing virtually every episode until the first season concluded on January 17, 2024. A year later, the series is back for another season, with new challenges for the contestants who compete to win prizes by racing against the clock.

Children’s television has always been entertaining, but these shows challenged Millennial kids in a different way.

In the show, two teams face off against each other in a game of grab-and-go prizes from the Cage, which closes after a set amount of time. If the participants correctly answer trivia questions, more seconds are added to the clock, increasing their team’s chances of winning. The game ends after three rounds, with the team that banks the highest dollar value advancing to the final round to earn an even larger prize. Raid the Cage Season 2 will be available on Paramount+ on Jan. 8.

‘Danger Force’ (Season 3)

Streaming January 15

Danger Force is a spinoff series of the hit Nickelodeon comedy show Henry Danger, developed by Christopher J. Nowak. After three seasons, the series has become hit-or-miss with audiences who have grown up since the original show aired. Nonetheless, the third season of the series has stood out in terms of quality, with every episode rated above eight or higher on IMDb.

In the series, Captain Man and Schwoz recruit Miles, Mika, Chapa, and Bose, four new superheroes in training, to help the gifted younger generation at the Swellview Academy become superheroes themselves. Danger Force Season 3 will be available for streaming on Paramount+ on Jan. 15.

‘Matlock’ (Seasons 1-9)

Matlock, which aired from 1986 to 1995, is a crime mystery series created by Dean Hargrove that stars Andy Griffith as Ben Matlock, an expensive criminal defense attorney with a stellar reputation for solving some of the most complicated cases. Despite the hurdles that come his way, Matlock is dedicated to bringing justice to his clients and will go to any length to do so.

While it is not stated explicitly, it is believed that his character is modeled after the famous lawyer Bobby Lee Cook, known as Georgia’s dean of criminal defense attorneys. CBS has recently rebooted the series, with Jennie Snyder Urman at the helm. In any case, all nine seasons of the original Matlock series will be available on Paramount+ on Jan. 15.

‘Watson’ (Season 1 Premiere)

Watson, created by Craig Sweeny, is an upcoming television series based on the works of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. It marks the second CBS series to adapt stories from Sherlock Holmes, following Elementary. In the new medical mystery drama, Morris Chestnut stars as Watson, who shares a close bond with Sherlock Holmes, while Eve Harlow, Peter Mark Kendall, Ritchie Coster, and Rochelle Aytes play Ingrid Derian, Stephens Croft, Shinwell Johnson, and Mary Morstan, respectively. CBS describes Watson’s official synopsis as follows:

Six months after the death of his friend and partner Sherlock Holmes at the hands of Moriarty, Dr. John Watson resumes his medical career as the head of a clinic dedicated to treating rare disorders. Watson’s old life isn’t done with him, though — Moriarty and Watson are set to write their own chapter of a story that has fascinated audiences for more than a century. “Watson” is a medical show with a strong investigative spine, featuring a modern version of one of history’s greatest detectives as he turns his attention from solving crimes to solving medical mysteries.

Watson, the 13-episode series, premieres on Paramount+ on January 26, 2025.
