‘K.O.’ Trailer Teases Netflix’s Next Big Action Thriller Hit

For those who have basked in the action thriller delights of Tom Hardy

and The Raid director Gareth Evans’ Netflix

outing, Havoc, the streamer has in treat in store for you. Once again finding a man with a particular set of violent skills on a rescue mission, Netflix has now unleashed the first trailer for the upcoming action movie K.O., which you can check out below.

Written and directed by Antoine Blossier (Prey), K.O. finds professional MMA fighter Ciryl Gane taking the lead as a fighter who, after accidentally killing his opponent in the ring, finds a shot at redemption when the widowed wife asks for his help in saving her teenage son from a gang of criminals. The rest of the cast includes Alice Belaïdi, Faued Nabba, Maleaume Paquin, Anne Azoulay, Ibrahima Keita, Samuel Jouy, and Virgile Bramly, and you can check out both the trailer and the official synopsis below.

“Bastien (Ciryl Gane) has lived as a recluse ever since he accidentally killed his opponent Enzo in an MMA fight three years ago. Enzo’s widow tracks him down and asks for his help: Bastien is her only hope of rescuing Léo (Maleaume Paquin), her teenage son who has gone missing in the northern districts of Marseille.

Netflix is all set to release K.O. next month on June 6, 2025, with the footage teasing everything that any action or Taken fan could possibly want from a martial arts thriller. The streamer has truly excelled in the action movie department of late, with the likes of the critically acclaimed Rebel Ridge, the viciously violent The Shadow Strays, the new festive action favorite Carry-On, the explosive finale Last Bullet, and the gripping Exterritorial impressing genre fans the world over.

Action thriller fans were finally treated to the delights of Havoc, which was years in the making. Starring Oscar-nominee and Mad Max: Fury Road star Tom Hardy and directed by The Raid and The Raid 2’s Gareth Evans, Havoc follows Hardy in this no-nonsense tale of a detective with a shady past who finds himself delving into the darkest parts of the criminal underworld to save a politician’s son.

The action outing boasts a stellar cast that includes Academy Award-winner Forest Whitaker and Justified star Timothy Olyphant, as well as Justin Cornwell (The Umbrella Academy, Bel-Air), Jessie Mei Li (Last Night in Soho, Shadow and Bone), Yeo Yann Yann (American Born Chinese), Quelin Sepulveda (Good Omens), Luis Guzmán (Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F), Sunny Pang (Headshot), and Michelle Waterson (Fright Night). Despite some mixed reviews, fans flocked to watch Hardy wreak havoc, with the movie landing the #1 spot and 29.8 million views in its debut week.
