Marvel fans are well known for making sure Kevin Feige and his team know what they want to see in the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s ever-expanding future, and who they want to see playing Reed Richards in the upcoming Fantastic Four movie is no exception. With Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness promising a lot of character introductions and cameos, the internet has responded with an endless stream of rumors and wish-lists of who could turn up in the movie and one name that has been appearing more than most is that of John Krasinski, who social media wants to see playing the head of Marvel’s First Family very, very badly.

Rumors that Krasinski could play the MCU’s version of Reed Richards are nothing new, and the actor himself has helped stoke these rumors by previously revealing that he would love to play the role. Back in March 2020, the Quiet Place star told ComicBook.com, “I would love to do it. I think to be a part of the Marvel world would be amazing anyway, and the fact that people would even consider me for that level of a part would be amazing. I genuinely have had no conversations or don’t know anything that’s happening with that. I’m awaiting Kevin’s announcements of what the hell’s happening with that as much as you are.”

The actor has been trending again today as rumors circulated anew of his casting role of Mr. Fantastic, who may or may not be making his debut in the upcoming Doctor Strange sequel. As it stands, we do know that recent re-shoots on the multiverse expanding movie are said to have included the filming of a number of additional cameos from variants of well-established MCU characters and more introductions of characters who are set to appear in the near future. Here are some of the hopes shared on Twitter today about just how much fans want Krasinski as Mr. Fantastic to be one of those introductions.

The Fantastic Four Are Coming To The MCU Very Soon, So Casting May Already Be Done

Marvel has a habit of keeping casting news secret long after it has happened, and the four actors taking on the lead roles in The Fantastic Four will be no exception. Ever since the previous reboot fell completely flat at the box office, the arrival of Marvel’s First Family into the MCU has been speculated on frequently. With all indicators now suggesting that the introductory movie fully focusing on the quartet will be arriving towards the end of 2023, then it would mean that filming was all set to take place later this year and casting is almost certainly a done deal.

While fan opinion doesn’t always get it right, with Robert Pattinson’s appointment as Batman over at DC being initially slammed until footage from the movie began appearing in early trailers, there have been occasions when a fan favorite for a role has come to pass in the MCU, such as Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange. Whether history will repeat that when it comes to the casting of Reed Richards is something we have a relatively short time to wait to discover, and all Marvel fans will await the news with eager anticipation.
