Lady Gaga calls in to Bruno Mars’ radio takeover with update on upcoming wedding plans

Lady Gaga called in to past collaborator Bruno Mars‘ radio takeover, revealing that she will be getting married “soon” to fiancé Michael Polansky.

Gaga called in a favour with her ‘Die With A Smile’ collaborator on his Romantic Radio TikTok Live on Friday (March 6).

“Me and my fiancé have been traveling all year,” Gaga said in the recorded message to Mars. “But we’re getting married soon, we were hoping you could choose a special song for us.”

“If you’re looking for a song to dedicate to your husband, I would say off this new album of mine,” he said. “I would go with ‘Risk It All.’ Track one. So, I want to dedicate this to Lady Gaga and her fiancé. Michael this is for you too.”

Gaga confirmed her relationship with tech entrepreneur Polansky in January 2020 and revealed in July 2024 that they were engaged. The conversations they had about how she wanted to get engaged became the inspiration for the song ‘Blade Of Grass’ from her 2025 album ‘Mayhem’.

“I’m desperately trying to keep that so private,” Gaga previously told E! News in March 2025 of her wedding plans, “but I would say I can promise that it will be the best day of my life.”

Mars hosted the radio show in celebration of his new album ‘The Romantic’, his first solo album in almost a decade, which dropped at the end of last month. In a four-star review, NME wrote: “Naturally, there are moments when Mars indulges his fondness for musical gouda, but at this point, it’s part of his brand. This total pro knows that a couple of these shimmering earworms could become modern standards like ‘Just The Way You Are’ and ‘When I Was Your Man’ with enough airplay and playlist spots.

“The big, sweeping ballad ‘Nothing Left’ is destined to defeat karaoke singers on every continent. With ‘The Romantic’, pop’s economical king of ear candy has surely extended his reign.”

Mars will be heading out on a world stadium tour later this summer and had to add 31 new dates to his 2026 world stadium tour due to an “overwhelming demand” for tickets.

The ‘Romantic’ tour quickly broke records by achieving the biggest single-day ticket sales in Live Nation North American tour history.

In the UK, the singer is scheduled to deliver six massive concerts at London’s Wembley Stadium in July.

Mars will be joined by his Silk Sonic collaborator Anderson .Paak as DJ Pee .Wee across all dates. Victoria MonétRaye and Leon Thomas are lined up as additional support at select shows. You can buy your tickets here (UK/Europe) and here (North America).
