Fans of the crime drama MobLand are celebrating the news that a second season of the show has been greenlit.
The Paramount+ show stars Tom Hardy as Harry, a fixer for the Harrigan crime family, led by husband Conrad (Pierce Brosnan) and wife Maeve (Helen Mirren). Guy Ritchie executive produced the show and directed the first three episodes, which have been a big hit for the streamer.
Deadline have reported that the show attracted 26 million views over the first 70 days following its March 30 release, making it the second biggest launch for a Paramount Original series, behind drama Landman.
The success has prompted the studio to ensure there were more seasons to come. Chris McCarthy, Co-CEO of Paramount, said in a statement: “We are elated to greenlight a second season of this global phenomenon, which has dominated both domestic and international charts and soared to #1 in the UK”.
Those who followed the first season were overjoyed at the news. One user said on X (formerly Twitter): “Never in doubt. Top top show”, while another said “Best news of the day! My favorite show of this year. Can’t wait for season 2”.

The final episode of season one left viewers on the edge of their seats as Harry was stabbed by his own wife; Eddie’s (Anson Boon) true parentage being revealed; and Conrad being applauded upon his return to prison.
As such, one viewer greeted news of a new season with: “Should fucking hope so after that ending”; while another remarked: “Let’s GOOO. That cliffhanger needed answers”.

Recently, MobLand star Pierce Brosnan talked about how Guy Ritchie wanted him to lean into his Irish accent for the part. “Guy just said, ‘Go mad. Got it?’ That was it,” he said. “And we took off from there, and everyone jumped in”.
