Aaron Rodgers’ Wide Receivers Reportedly Not Happy With Him

Aaron Rodgers is passing the buck.

Aaron Rodgers finished the his last game with three interceptions and told Pat McAfee he doesn’t care what people on TV have to say. Well, his chippy attitude and using others as scapegoats is apparently rubbing people the wrong way behind closed doors.

“That some of the young wide receivers have been painted as scapegoats for the Packers’ problems, despite Aaron Rodgers’ absence during OTAs, which isn’t sitting well with some there,” ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler wrote when talking about what he’s hearing amid a five-game losing streak.

With games coming up against the Cowboys, Titans and Eagles, fans might be in for a very rough few weeks. It should be fun to see what Rodgers says or who he blames if the team drops to 3-9.

The reigning two-time NFL MVP has thrown for 2,091 yards, 14 touchdowns and seven interceptions, which is only two less than his combined total during the past two seasons.

In August, Rodgers publicly expressed his frustration with his receiving corps following a joint practice with the New Orleans Saints, excluding veterans Allen Lazard and Randall Cobb, as well as then-recent free agent acquisition Sammy Watkins, who he said had his best day of practice at the time.

“It’s unfortunately some of the same guys,” Rodgers said at the time via the New York Post. “Repeat mistakes [are] a problem, so we’ve just got to clean those things up a little bit. The young guys, especially young receivers, we’ve got to be way more consistent. A lot of drops, a lot of bad route decisions, running the wrong route. We’ve got to get better in that area. But I felt like the line for the most part held up pretty good, which was good to see.”

The Packers will host the Dallas Cowboys at Lambeau Field on Sunday (November 13).
