iCarly Revival Teaser Reunites Miranda Cosgrove with Returning Cast on Paramount+

The iCarly gang is back together in a new teaser video promoting the upcoming revival series at Parmount+. As has been previously reported, original stars Miranda Cosgrove, Jerry Trainor, and Nathan Kress will reprise their roles from the Nickelodeon series in the revival. A sneak peek photo of the three returning cast members from the set had also been released, and now, the trio attempts to prove that they still got it in a new video teaser that’s floating around online. You can watch it below.

In the clip, Miranda Cosgrove and her co-stars struggle with how to film the new teaser video. Holding the camera, Kress has issues deciding whether to count down from 10 or from 3. Meanwhile, Trainor stresses that the group “can’t let on that we haven’t shot the show yet.” Insisting that the fans just “want to see if we still got it,” Cosgrove reminds Kress and Trainor that they were hit in the past and they’re going to succeed again this time.

“Hey, listen up! We’ve done this before and we’re going to do it again,” Cosgrove shouts. “America’s going to be quoting our new catchphrases again in no time. And if anyone has any doubts… just leave it all to me.”

As the iCarly theme song begins to play, Cosgrove adds: “Yep, still got it.”

iCarly originally ran for six seasons on Nickelodeon between 2007 and 2012. Serving as one of the network’s most popular series during its run, the show was nominated for the Outstanding Children’s Program Emmy Award five times.

It was announced in December that Paramount+ had ordered an iCarly revival. Jay Kogen and Ali Schouten had signed on to develop the series, though Kogen has since exited from his role as co-showrunner due to “creative differences” with Cosgrove. Reportedly, the series will follow the three returning characters set during the “modern TikTok era of social engagement.” Two new characters will also be introduced, including a new best friend and roommate for Carly along with Freddie’s social media-obsessed step-daughter.

Fans of the original series will certainly notice the absence of Sam Puckett, one of the main characters of the original show. Carly’s best friend and web series co-star, Sam was played by Jennette McCurdy, who would reprise the role in the short-lived spinoff series Sam & Cat. McCurdy has since retired from acting and is not involved in the Paramount+ reboot. It still seems possible her character will be acknowledged with a mention or two, similar to Fuller House giving nods to Michelle Tanner and the Saved by the Bell reboot mentioning Screech.

A release date hasn’t yet been set for the iCarly revival on Paramount+. Meanwhile, CBS All Access will be rebranded as Paramount+ on March 4. With the change just days away, several major announcements for other exclusive content for the streamer have also been revealed. This includes a Frasier revival series with Kelsey Grammer back as Dr. Crane as well as new movie continuations of Beavis and Butt-head and Workaholics. On the Nickelodeon side of things, a Rugrats series reboot is also in the works for the streamer and a first look preview video has also been revealed.

While you wait for the reboot to arrive, you can find the first five seasons of the original iCarly currently streaming on CBS All Access. The first two seasons are also streaming on Netflix.
