How Did ‘Mayor of Kingstown’ Season 3 End?

The third season of Mayor of Kingstown went out with quite a bang, as the explosive finale saw the tragic death of Captain Kareem Moore (Michael Beach) after he was murdered during a prison yard ambush by the Aryans. Kareem seemingly chose his violent fate and sacrificed himself in order to preserve the reputation of his fellow officer, Kevin (Denny Love), and to avoid having to identify Bunny (Tobi Bamtefa) as the perpetrator behind an explosion that resulted in multiple casualties.
Despite Mike attempting to keep the peace in the town, trouble seems to follow him, and he is forced to get his hands dirty by hunting down the Russian gangster Milo Sunter (Aidan Gillen) and silencing him once and for all. Even with the threat of the Russian mafia effectively eliminated, Mike has plenty more obstacles to worry about as his brother Kyle (Taylor Handley) was arrested for attempted murder, and gang wars threaten to cause complete chaos in Kingstown.
What Can Fans Expect From the Fourth Season?
Season 4 of Mayor of Kingstown will explore the fallout of the season 3 finale while also introducing new characters into the mix, with The Sopranos alum Edie Falco joining the hit series as Anchor Bay’s new prison warden, Nina Hobbs, and The Walking Dead’s Lennie James taking on the role of respected Detroit gangster Frank Moses. Clayton Cardenas (Mayans M.C.) will be appearing as Deputy Warden Torres, while Derek Rivera will portray the Colombian sicario Cortez, all of whom will prove to be both allies and adversaries for Mike.
With major trouble brewing, fans can expect Mayor of Kingstown to deliver plenty of jaw-dropping entertainment as Mike goes toe-to-toe with Falco’s Nina Hobbs, who is quite aware of his colorful background. In a teaser trailer for the crime drama, the pair’s first meeting gets off to a rocky start as the prison warden has no issues telling Mike exactly how she sees it. “You’re an ex-con who ran this place for years. Ocean of blood in your wake and now, now you can’t do that.” The official synopsis for the season reads:
“Mike’s control over Kingstown is threatened as new players compete to fill the power vacuum left in the Russians’ wake, compelling him to confront the resulting gang war and stop them from swallowing the town. Meanwhile, with those he loves in more danger than ever before, Mike must contend with a headstrong new warden to protect his own while grappling with demons from his past.”
