Mike Mayhall Unleashes “The Madness of David Judge” on Tubi

Actor, writer, and director Mike Mayhall once again blurs the fragile line between genius and insanity in his gripping new psychological thriller, The Madness of David Judge, now streaming on Tubi.  A true auteur effort, the chilling series was written, produced, and directed by Mayhall himself, marking another milestone in his growing reputation for creating character-driven stories that leave audiences questioning what’s real.

Set against the haunting atmosphere of New Orleans, The Madness of David Judge follows the unraveling mind of its title character, a celebrated novelist whose perception begins to fracture after the mysterious disappearance of his wife.  As paranoia tightens its grip, David becomes both hunter and hunted—tormented by voices, symbols, and a darkness that may live entirely within him.

Mayhall’s storytelling transforms the Southern Gothic setting into a living, breathing character.  Every creak of an old floorboard and flicker of a gaslight becomes part of David’s descent, while the camera’s close, claustrophobic perspective traps the viewer inside his spiraling psyche.  The result is an experience that feels intimate, unsettling, and profoundly human.

“The Madness of David Judge is about identity—how easily it can shatter when the walls between imagination and memory collapse,_” Mayhall explains.  “It’s less about horror than it is about truth, and what happens when you can no longer tell the difference between the two.”

Anchored by a raw, vulnerable performance from David Judge in the lead role, the series weaves together themes of grief, obsession, and creative isolation.  As Judge’s sanity deteriorates, the audience is forced to confront its own uneasy fascination with madness—a mirror reflecting the darker corners of the artistic mind.

The Madness of David Judge stands as a showcase of Mike Mayhall’s uncompromising vision—a filmmaker willing to explore the uncomfortable spaces where art, fear, and humanity intersect.  Available now on Tubi, it’s an invitation to step inside the storm—and maybe, just maybe, never quite come back out the same.
