Paris Jackson Joins American Horror Story Season 10

Paris Jackson is set to appear in a mystery role in the upcoming tenth season of the FX horror anthology series American Horror Story. According to TMZ, Jackson will appear in at least one episode in the next season which has been dubbed American Horror Story: Double Feature. Series creator Ryan Murphy says this is because the new season will feature two horror stories in one season for the first time.

Jackson’s casting in AHS also marks a reunion of sorts between Macaulay Culkin and the Jackson family. It has previously been announced that Culkin will be featured in the tenth season of AHS, and a first look photo has revealed the actor on set. As a former child star, Culkin was close friends with Paris’s father, world-famous singer Michael Jackson, with the two starring in a famous Pepsi commercial together.

However, it doesn’t look like Paris Jackson and Macauley Culkin will be sharing any screen time. Season 10 is basically consisting of two separate mini-seasons with the Double Feature gimmick, and Jackson will reportedly be featured in the second mini-season. Culkin is a part of the cast of the first story, one that’s “set by the sea,” and the rest of the cast for Jackson’s story has yet to be revealed. More names are expected to be announced soon for the second story, which is set “by the sand.”

Along with Culkin, other cast members for the series in the first story include Sarah Paulson and Kathy Bates. Other names confirmed for the new season include Leslie Grossman, Billie Lourd, Evan Peters, Adina Porter, Lily Rabe, Angelica Ross, and Finn Wittrock. In February, Murphy also revealed that Frances Conroy will be returning for season 10.

Michael Jackson’s only daughter, Paris Jackson has dabbled in music like her famous father, releasing her first studio album Wilted just last year. She has also launched an acting career, appearing in a guest role in the musical drama series Star in 2017. She’d go on to appear in MTV’s Scream television series and the 2018 movie Gringo alongside David Oyelowo, Charlize Theron, Joel Edgerton, Thandiwe Newton, and Amanda Seyfried. Additionally, Jackson can be seen in the new movie The Space Between which was just released in theaters no Friday.

Meanwhile, Jackson is attached to another role in an upcoming movie, though this one is much more controversial. Last year, it was announced that she would be playing a lesbian version of Jesus Christ, a casting that resulted in hundreds of thousands of petitioners trying to get the movie canceled. Directed by Janell Shirtcliff, the movie also features Bella Thorne, Gavin Rossdale, Hana Mae Lee, and Josie Ho. No release date has yet been set.

Similarly, it hasn’t been revealed by FX when American Horror Story: Double Feature will air. Production on the new episodes was delayed last year due to the pandemic, but the series looks to be back on track. If all goes well, the new season is likely to arrive on FX this fall.
