Kid Rock says God will “cut down” journalists from the “fake liberal media” for reporting on his $5,000 tour tickets

Kid Rock has said that God will “cut down” the “fake liberal media” who reported on his $5,000 (£3,714) tour tickets.

Earlier this week, tickets for the country star’s upcoming ‘Freedom 250’ tour went on sale, and fans were surprised to see some high prices for “first class” packages. Those who wanted to nab front row tickets would have to pay a whopping $5,000 at every date on the tour, while second row tickets were priced at $4,000 a pop.

The pattern continues for $3,000 for the third row, $2,000 for the fourth row, and $1,000 for the fifth row. No added benefits are apparently listed for purchasing tickets for the first five rows.

Now, Kid Rock has responded to the media that reported on said prices, taking to X to write: “The fake liberal media says I’m charging $5,000 for front-row tickets.”

He then goes on to confirm that it is indeed what he’s charging for the top face-value tickets, but adds: “They know damn well that’s not the full story.”

“Instead of reporting facts or that lawn seats are only 50 bucks or how we are cutting out the scalpers, they twist it for headlines/clicks and to attack me — nothing new here.”

He explained how many he has set aside 20 “first class” tickets for each show. “Those are extremely limited First Class seats like I explained — FOUR tickets per row, first five rows only (5k per seat row 1, 4k row 2, 3k row 3, 2k row 4, 1k row 5) — Again ONLY 4 seats in rows 1 through 5 (20 ‘first class’ seats in venues that hold 15k to 25k people).”

He concludes his post by writing of the journalists: “I WILL pray for them, but I know that sooner or later God will cut ‘em down.”

Here we go again.

Kid Rock’s ticket pricing comes as a surprise to fans given his work advocating for independent venues, testifying to Congress earlier this year about the rise of ticket prices.

Beginning his testimony, he said: “I’m here today because I love God, I love this country, I love live music and sports, and I believe music fans and artists have been getting screwed for far too long by the ticketing system.”

He called the Live Nation and Ticketmaster merger an “experiment [that] has failed miserably”, adding: “Independent venues have been crushed. Artists have lost leverage. Fans are paying more than ever – and getting blamed for it”.

Meanwhile, Kid Rock also performed at the ‘All-American Halftime Show’ hosted by Turning Point USA – the non-profit founded by the late Charlie Kirk. The show was staged in protest of Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl Halftime Show, which was watched by over 120million viewers.

Bad Bunny’s triumphant celebration of Latin music styles at the Halftime Show also saw him bringing out Pedro PascalCardi B, Jessica Alba, Karol G, Lady Gaga and Ricky Martin as special guests.

Tom MorelloZach Bryan and Kacey Musgraves were just some of the musicians to mock Kid Rock for playing the concert. The musician also faced rumours of lip syncing, to which Kid Rock responded he was simply “out of sync”.
