Karrueche Wears a Cutout Suit at the CFDA Fashion Awards

A cool interpretation of the cutout trend could be spotted on the red carpet of the CFDA Awards when Karrueche Tran arrived at The Grill Room. The model, who’s shown a penchant for open-back ensembles and elegant skin reveals, stepped out in a fitted black suit.

Designer Latoia Fitzgerald, who recently made her Lionne runway debut, figured out how to zhoosh up a traditional suit, and found the perfect model to don her creation. Karrueche’s suit features two side cutouts near the waist and a playful open back. The top half of the suit could pass as a cropped blazer, but it is actually attached to floor-length pants, making for an extremely polished look. Karrueche kept the rest simple with a crisp white button-down and some heels.
