Maluma confirmed “De Bar en Bar” as the fourth track on his upcoming project “LxV” on Tuesday. His Instagram caption read “TRACK 4: De Bar en Bar,” followed by the project title and a heart emoji.
The post drew over 76,000 likes. Maluma has been rolling out “LxV” by announcing track titles one at a time. At least four songs are now confirmed. “De Bar en Bar” translates to “From Bar to Bar” in English, a phrase tied to moving between bars during a night out.
No release date for “LxV” has been announced. No collaborators or full tracklist have been confirmed beyond the sequential reveals.
Maluma’s full name is Juan Luis Londoño Arias. He was born in Medellín, Colombia, and built his early following in the local reggaeton scene around 2015 with tracks like “Borracho” and “El Perdedor.” The international breakthrough came with “Chantaje,” a collaboration with Shakira. That song became a massive crossover hit and introduced him to audiences beyond Latin America.
His 2020 self-titled album debuted at number one on the Billboard Latin Albums chart. It produced “Hawái.” The track reached the top of the Hot Latin Songs chart and later received a remix with The Weeknd. “ADMV,” another cut from that album, became a standout for fans of his more emotionally driven material.
Maluma has built a wide collaboration roster. He’s recorded with Madonna, Marc Anthony, J Balvin, Becky G, and Karol G. That range spans different corners of Latin music and has kept him visible across multiple audiences.
In 2021, he made his film debut in the romantic comedy “Marry Me,” opposite Jennifer Lopez and Owen Wilson. The film’s soundtrack included new music from both stars.
“LxV” would be his next major studio project. The name hasn’t been publicly explained. Maluma hasn’t shared additional details on the project’s themes, production team, or direction.
The track-by-track rollout is a common format in Latin urban music. Each title announcement keeps the project circulating online. It gives audiences something to engage with at each stage of the build.
“De Bar en Bar” fits comfortably within Maluma’s established themes. His catalog has long drawn on nightlife imagery and romantic storylines. “Hawái” was wistful. “Felices los 4” was more upbeat. Where “De Bar en Bar” fits stylistically isn’t clear yet.
With four confirmed track titles and no release date in sight, “LxV” is still building.
