Meghan Markle & Prince Harry’s ‘Too Awkward And Too Difficult’ Christmas Plans Revealed!

It looks like Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are making their holiday plans — and a royal reunion doesn’t appear to be on the agenda!

Instead of spending Christmas with King Charles, Prince William, and Princess Catherine, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are reportedly planning to celebrate with Meghan’s mom, Doria Ragland. Hmmm… And that’s not all!!

According to multiple outlets including The Sunday Times and People over the weekend, the couple is expected to spend the holidays with Doria, who lives in California. And Christmas isn’t the only family celebration on their calendar! Harry and Meghan are also planning to spend Thanksgiving with Doria, with the location of both holidays reportedly depending on her preference.

But what about the royals?! Traditionally, the family gathers at King Charles’ Sandringham estate in Norfolk for Christmas. However, it sounds like Harry and Meghan aren’t holding their breath for an invitation. A source told The Sunday Times this absolute whopper of a quote about the plan:

“They know it would be too awkward and too difficult. They also know they’re not going to be invited, and they’re not waiting for an invitation.”

Yikes!

Talk about a chilly holiday season!! But honestly, given the ongoing family drama, can anyone really be surprised?!

Harry and Meghan last spent Christmas with the royal family in 2018, when Meghan was pregnant with their son, Prince Archie. Since then, the couple’s relationship with the royals has remained strained, particularly when it comes to Wills.

Could the holidays provide an opportunity to mend those fences? Apparently, not this year! For now, it seems the Sussexes are choosing to make their own plans with Doria rather than risk an uncomfortable reunion.
