The Tennessee Titans executed a shocking comeback victory, beating the Indianapolis Colts 26-20 in Week 6. They trailed 13-0 at halftime and overturned a multi-score deficit in the second half by making splash plays on offense, defense, and special teams. We’ve identified the Titans’ five best performances from Sunday’s triumph.
Jeffery Simmons, DT
Jeffery Simmons kickstarted the Titans’ comeback effort by stripping (and recovering) Colts RB Jonathan Taylor of the football. The multi-time Pro Bowler was also credited with two sacks. Simmons was his usual unblockable self against the Colts.

Carnell Tate, WR
The offense ran through rookie wide receiver Carnell Tate in Week 6. He scored his first career touchdown on a well-designed pass by Cam Ward to tie the game 13-13. Tate finished with six receptions for 70 yards and a TD. He continues to look like a legitimate WR1.
Joey Slye, K
Kicker Joey Slye made four second-half field goal attempts to help lead the Titans’ comeback win. That included makes from 56 and 49. Slye even made a 48-yard extra point after a penalty pushed the try-after attempt backwards. He’s so consistent with a big leg.
Jacob Martin, EDGE
Titans veteran EDGE Jacob Martin had a sack and applied consistent pressure on Colts QB Daniel Jones. It’s not saying much, but he’s definitely been the Titans’ most consistent edge rusher. Martin also missed a few tackles, but he was generally quite good.

Amani Hooker, S
Veteran safety Amani Hooker generated the first of four turnovers. The savvy ballhawk tip-toed the sideline expertly to haul in a tipped pass while keeping his feet in-bounds and securing the ball without juggling it, ensuring the refs couldn’t overturn the call. Hooker is having an underrated season for this Titans defensive backfield.
Honorable mentions: Cor’Dale Flott (CB), Tony Adams (S), Jermaine Johnson II (DE), Anthony Hill Jr. (LB), Femi Oladejo (DE), James Williams Sr. (LB), Julius Chestnut (RB).
