Big Brother Spoilers: A Houseguest Pitches A Secret Alliance, But Will It Actually Work?

Big Brother Spoilers: A Houseguest Pitches A Secret Alliance, But Will It Actually Work?

Many great plans form with the power of candy.

With no pens or paper in the Big Brother Season 28 house, the houseguests have to get a bit creative. Schemes and alliances need to be tracked somehow.

For one behind-the-scenes player, they’re making their big move before it’s too late.

Former Big Brother Season 28 Week 1 nominee Taylor is taking the game into her hands.

As our TV Fanatic previously reported, Lyric won the Power of Veto. Based on the current plan, Jason looks to be the replacement nominee.

However, as many Big Brother fans can tell you, the game switches up quickly!

A person who thought they were safe (i.e., Ashley) could easily walk out next on Thursday’s eviction.

It’s either forming those connections, or taking the time to practice your eviction speech. Heed the lessons now: don’t make the same mistakes as Ashley or Rome.

In Taylor’s case, she’s strategizing to reposition her spot in the game.

While using M&Ms, Taylor discussed forming a secret big alliance with Rick Devens and Kamu. The deal would take one person from each trio in the house, forming a secret, bigger group that connects everyone.

The secret alliance would steer their trios toward targeting those outside the alliance.

Plus, Devens would get to keep his tether alliance. This move would bring everyone to the Final 6.

It’s a lofty plan, one that could completely shake up the game. And it would bring Taylor into an alliance with real power.

Would The Alliance Actually Work?

It wouldn’t be the first time an alliance has secretly manipulated the game.

‘The Cookout’ of Big Brother Season 23 is the most infamous. Each Cookout member had one established parachute deal outside the group; they pretended that person was their Final 2 deal.

The Cookout would nominate duos for eviction, essentially evicting the parachute alliance and keeping their members in.

It’s a deliciously clever plan that worked: The Cookout made the Final 6 without ever being discovered! (Or even meeting all together in a room until everyone else got evicted.)

Taylor’s plan is a variation of The Cookout’s strategy.

It’s much different than Derrick Levasseur’s “onion structure” of Big Brother Season 16, or “The Judges” of Big Brother Season 27. Taylor’s plan requires the trios to be intact to pull the members in.

As of now, the proposed main members are Taylor, Devens, Kamu, Mallory, and Barrett.

In a planning session, the idea seemed enticing to Devens.

Mallory has been very vocal about wanting the reality TV veterans out. And being nominated for a second time has only frustrated her position even more.

Devens hopes being in an alliance with her will remove Mallory’s target from his back.

Barrett’s gameplay, on the other hand, has felt aimless.

He’s an established member of duos, trios, and big alliances, like “The Crossovers” and “The Toolshed.” However, he’s accurately recognized that he’s been the last to join all groups.

Barrett is looking for an alliance home that reignites his passion. He wants a sense of safety and trust.

Plus, he talks a lot of game with Mallory.

Having him in the alliance could provide reassurance to both him and Mallory. The deal would make both of them feel less on the outside.

It’s an interesting strategy that could tear apart the steamroll, but for it to work, the others would need to be on board.

Will They Make The Deal?

The idea is still in its early phase–a mere tidbit of late-night game talk.

However, Devens and Kamu should consider this plan seriously. With Kamu being Head of Household, this is his chance to make big plans.

The real wrench in any scheme is the messiness of The Toolshed alliance.

The Red Corner and The Crossovers alliances had the power to control the vote. Rome’s eviction during Big Brother Season 28 Week 2 is all due to them.

However, the 24/7 live feeds are painting a troubling picture for the future of this group.

Angela and Dee are ready to say goodbye to Drew.

They want the Floater out, and with Devens’ help, they plotted a way to expose him. But were they serious, or was it all a joke? Just some late-night venting?

The veteran trio repaired some earlier tensions with Haley.

Well, they had to now since their secret Crossovers group had been exposed to her. Dee/Angela wondered if Haley should join that alliance, but it’s all getting messy.

Different group members still want Haley/Chuk/Kamu out. Others want Drew to go.

And, of course, everyone is waiting for someone to strike the reality TV veterans.

That’s going to be a problem since Devens won the Diamond Power of Veto in the latest Time Capsule twist. If anyone makes a move, he could easily use the DPOV to mess things up.

It’s only a matter of time before The Toolshed implodes.

The group may be on a steamroll now, but other alliances and relationships are being formed. Someone is bound to strike first.

Only those who prepare will do better at landing on their feet.

Let’s keep the conversation going — it’s the only way the good stuff survives.

Should the Houseguests accept Taylor’s deal? Would the plan work out for them?
