On Monday, some big changes were made in the world of television news coverage, both at Fox News and CNN. Just minutes after it was reported that Tucker Carlson was leaving Fox News, it was revealed that Don Lemon is also out at CNN. The news has broken by the time the co-hosts of The View assembled to speak about the day’s news, and it wasn’t long before a celebration broke out over Carlson losing his spot on television. A clip has been released on Twitter showcasing how the co-hosts reacted to the news.
When the news broke, Whoopi Goldberg started to do “the wave,” prompting the other co-hosts to follow suit with the audence applauding. Goldberg then noted that the group would discuss the situation more at length on the next day’s show. Even so, Ana Navarro felt there was enough time to belt out a special song for Carlson in the wake of the news, and she encouraged the audience to participate in a singalong of the song “Na Na Hey Hey Kiss Him Goodbye.”
“Can I ask the audience if they’ll help me do something?” Navarro said before getting people to sing along to the classic song.
For her part, Sunny Hostin noted how she doesn’t usually like to celebrate someone losing their job, but the situation is a bit different with Carlson.
“I don’t think anyone likes to celebrate the demise of someone’s career, but… he is responsible for the degradation that we see, somewhat, of our democracy in this country, and I just think, as a faithful person, ‘Look at God. Look at God,'” she said.
“He’s been the biggest purveyor of pro-Russian talking points, so it’s a good day for the Ukrainians,” adds Alyssa Farah Griffin.
Hostin then goes on to add that “karma doesn’t lose anyone’s address,” while Goldberg jokes that it “may misplace the address.”

Tucker Carlson’s Presence on TV Won’t Be Missed By Some
Fox News
There are many people celebrating the news that Carlson is out, while others aren’t so thrilled. Given its high viewership, the show had many fans who will be missing Tucker Carlson Tonight moving forward. That just shows how polarizing the TV host has been for years. As for why he’s out at Fox News, it hasn’t been said specifically by Carlson or the network, but it may be the result of Fox News losing a high-dollar lawsuit filed by Dominion Voting Systems over “defamatory” coverage of the company on Fox programming.
A permanent replacement for Carlson hasn’t yet been announced. For now, the network will air Fox News Tonight in its place with various Fox News personalities rotating as host until it is determined what will take that time slot on a permanent basis.
